Across our discussions with alumni, we realized:
Alumni express a desire to invest in early stage startups, but don't have the "deal flow" or time for due diligence.
Founders of early-stage startups (from IITR) express a need for access to structured mentorship and capital required to move from MVP to Seed/Series A.
No formal platform currently exists to institutionalize “Roorkee-to-Roorkee” support.
Other IITs / IIMs already have their own dedicated alumni funds and angel networks.
Mission
IITRAN is a private initiative by group of alumni with a vision to nurture the IIT Roorkee startup ecosystem:
To develop the IIT Roorkee entrepreneurial ecosystem into a leading hub.
To create a powerful investment ecosystem for the IIT Roorkee global alumni network.
To bring money, mentoring, and market access to startups founded by the IIT Roorkee community.
To become the first-choice platform for early-stage investing for the IIT Roorkee community.
